Fall is my favorite time of year.  The weather is cool enough to wear a sweater and drink hot chocolate while you snuggle with your sweetie, and fall also means its time for Halloween.  Andrew and I are lucky enough to be in a beautiful new home this fall and with that new home comes new trick-or-treaters’.  Kids dressed in everything from scary to cute to sweet and even innocent.  Yes, Halloween is the time of year where you can pretend to be anyone you want.

I can’t tell you who Andrew and I are dressing up as this year… but if you check out the pic below you may figure it out.  If not and you really can’t wait then stop by on Halloween night, we always break out the costumes while handing out candy to the ghosts and goblins.

Yesterday was a full day of meetings and appointments, but at the end of the day I sat down with Mallory and Amber.  We went to Saul Good, a great little resturant near the mall.  We talked and laughed for close to three hours, it was fantastic.  Just wanted to let these girls know that I had a fabulous time and I look forward to many more fun nights!  Oh and… I am really working on that website we discussed.  Woohoo!

Andrew has been organizing his photo collection and he stumbled accross our 2006 Florida Trip.  We had a fantastic time that year (as we always do).  Chris, Andrew and I went to Tampa Bay and hit up the Tampa Zoo for a day.  It was super fun!  We made fun of animals, fed them, etc.  I really wanted to snatch one of those adorable Meerkat.  OMG!  How fun would that be?  Actually our Sophie reminds us of a Meerkat all of the time.  She does that same pose!  We also saw some fantastic little monkeys and even named a girraffe Boras.  Great memories!

With airfare from Lexington to Tampa being so reasonable right now…. we just may take another trip to that area!  I will keep you posted for those that may want to make it a group adventure.  Stay tuned…

OK, so while checking out MSN.com tonight this link for Halloween Costumes that are sure to get a laugh, grabbed my attention.  And laugh I did.  OK, most of the constumes I had already seen, but this one of a midget rock star was completely priceless.  Love it!!

My morning usually consists of making my to-do list for the day and checking out my RSS feeds.  Well today I got a huge surprise!  You know that I am a wedding and event planner and most of the blogs I subscribe to pertain to the wedding industry.  Most of it is gorgeous pictures of fabulous weddings, ideas and flowers.  Sometimes there is something really awesome and I must blog about it.  Usually I just put those posts on my AP Blog, but today you special people get this one.  Why?  Well - it absolutely cracked me up and I seriously thought you would enjoy it more than my wedding/event readers.  Read it and you will know why I shared it with you amazing people (assuming someone is reading this) and not my AP reader.  Enjoy!

Offbeat Bride

We are headed to Cracker Barrel for Sunday morning Brunch!  Meeting some of our fantastic friends while we are there.  Yum!  I can almost taste that french toast. 

We have officially lived in our new house for 20 days now and while we still have boxes full of stuff, we are closer to having colors for our walls.  At first I was thinking “Ah, lets leave the walls white for now - we may end up liking it”.  I was oh so wrong.  I feel like we are living in a white (very white) box.

Time for some color!  So color is what we have.  Cobalt blue for the office; grass green for the dining room; warm ivory for the family room; hazy purple for the kitchen and dirty brown for the living room.  Thoughts??

Andrew and I have been so very busy lately.  I know we have mentioned it on our blog before- but man are we busy.  This week is this first time since I can remember, where we actually have some free time.  But, Andrew is having to work much overtime this week and the next few weeks to come.  I have four big weddings coming up this fall, and our house is still not in order.

Yesterday was Labor Day and we both feel like we missed out on the summer.  Not only that, but I really miss my friends!  I have not had a girl night in forever, and I am feeling left out on all of the happenings in my small network.  Andrew and I plan to have some close friends over very soon, hopefully you can make it!

On a side note -I am THRILLED to say that I am finished with NAWBO and now looking for other networking opportunities in Lexington.  Hopefully something that is less catty and time-consuming. 

Andrew and I are in our new house, and it is really starting to feel like home.  We have our new furniture in the family room - which looks fantastic!  Now we need to find our artwork.  For some reason I am really feeling inspired by these images.  Any advice?
